Jour 1 - 19 avril 2015

Day 1 - April 19th, 2015

Tate Modern

Our adventure in United-Kingdom begins on Sunday, the 19th of April, at Tate Modern!

It is London’s biggest museum of contemporary art . Built in an old power plant, it was conceived by the famous Swiss architects Herzog and Demeuron. They are also the ones who built the well known Olympic Stadium of Pekin in 2008. The Museum, is situated in the south of London close to the Millenium bridge which reliate Saint-Paul Church. Art for engineers is abstract. We saw in the museum differents kinds of works, as ventilating ducts, engines and a mirror for selfies that Michael liked very much because there are daily items which are transformed. Planning of the museum impressed us a lot. Most of the museums in London are free.
